MacSway is an iPhone app that lets you watch and control your Mac screen live. When an AI coding agent or a long build runs on the Mac, you do not have to sit at the machine.

What is MacSway good for if I run an AI coding agent on my Mac?

MacSway Pro shows your Mac screen live on your iPhone, so you can watch an AI coding agent or a long build remotely, approve its request and type a quick fix. Because it shows the screen, it works with any tool, for example Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.

Can I watch what the AI coding agent is doing on my Mac from my phone?

Yes, with MacSway screen sharing you see on your iPhone whatever is on the Mac screen, including the agent's output and the build status. MacSway shows the Mac's main display.

Can I approve a request from my iPhone?

Yes, in MacSway's screen view you can tap the button in a Mac dialog, so you can approve the agent's request from your iPhone.

Can I type on my Mac from my iPhone?

Yes, in MacSway's screen view you can type into the Mac's active field with the iPhone keyboard. Some apps do not always accept typing into protected fields such as password fields.

Do I need Pro to use MacSway for vibe coding?

Yes, viewing the screen needs MacSway Pro. The MacSway trackpad, keyboard and volume control are free, but without the screen you cannot see what happens on the Mac.

Does MacSway work when I am not at home?

Yes, MacSway Pro reaches the Mac over your own Tailscale network from another network. Install Tailscale on both devices, and keep the Mac on, plugged in and running the Mac app. MacSway is not a VPN.

Does my code pass through a server when I use MacSway?

No, MacSway sends the Mac screen directly between the Mac and the iPhone, encrypted with TLS 1.3. There is no MacSway server and no MacSway account.

Is MacSway different from an SSH client or a terminal app?

Yes, MacSway is not a terminal or an SSH client: it shows and controls the Mac screen from your iPhone. You see any program, not only the command line.
